Concrete spalling is a destructive example of a special problem needing specialised cures. Spalling is caused by a number of factors, more generally as a result of porous concrete or insufficient concrete covering the steel reinforcement and subsequent penetration of moisture and salts, which erode the reinforcement.

The company completed numerous concrete spalling projects using a wide range of materials. Repair materials have generally been specified in the project contracts; however, the company was able to provide consultancy where by repair material can be recommended.
